Hello First Grade families,
I hope all of you are enjoying a pleasant weekend! The winter weather can be quite lovely.
*Please remember to pack shoes for students to wear inside. Floors can be pretty wet by the end of the day.
I realize we are all in a different place with how this week went. Some were absent. Some were not feeling well. Some were in and out throughout the week. We will get through this. Please don't panic or worry about your child missing some school. I am keeping track of activities and content that has been missed and will share these things with your child when he/she returns.
Looking ahead to some of our upcoming art projects... we are in need of some pieces cardboard. You would think after all of my packing and moving that I might have some cardboard laying around...but I don't! Although I have some boxes at home, I do not have enough to make 24, 8x8 pieces. These will be the base for a sculpture project that is coming up. If you have time to cut one for your own child, or to make a few to share with others that would be greatly appreciated!
Report Cards for 1st Semester will go home on with your child on Monday. If you have any questions or comments after reading it, please make a note of them and we can either go over them at conferences or chat about them via email or phone if necessary.
