Hello First Grade Families!
We had a great first week of school. It feels good to be back in the classroom. The kids are doing well learning how 'to do' 1st grade. Please let me know if you have any questions about our daily routine or if your child expresses concern or worries about some or all of our day. The new protocols can be a bit overwhelming, especially for the littles.
I would also like to welcome Evan Czarnecki to our classroom. He is a Saugatuck graduate and is a junior in college. He has been hired to assist in our classroom full-time. Evan is also with the class at recess and during all specials. He is a wonderful asset to the learning and growing in the classroom!
If you look through the website you will find pages that have photos, documents and other information. Most of the materiel has been updated for the current school year but does not include recommendations or current CDC guidelines. (I am hoping to someday resume normal school routines :) Our administration has been doing a great job sharing information about the changes that DES has made to make sure we are all safe while at school.
