I hope you are enjoying a nice weekend. I am sure there was lots of Halloween fun for all! We sure had a great week in our classroom!
Parent Teacher conferences are coming up, Nov. 17, 18 and 19. We will be meeting via Zoom. Later tonight I will send out a Sign-Up Genius for you to select a time and date that works for you.
CURRICULUM
Language Arts:
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Story: The Farmer in the Hat ~
Comprehension Skill: Cause and Effect and Monitor and Fix-up.
Phonics: long -a, c=s and g=j
Math:
Analyzing problems with common addends and using this reasoning to solve addition and subtraction problems within 10.
Social Studies:
How Do We Learn About the Past? Thinking about time; Past, Present and Future!
Writing:
Handwriting strategies, writing complete sentences and spelling words correctly in context. We are also working on writing 'How To' books. These focus on writing the sequence of events that are required to complete a task.
Words to Read and Spell:
made, make, age, late, safe, could, horse, old, paper, will, so, face
